When you are building a horror movie with a fishbowl premise such as this one, and you happen to not be John Carpenter, then you need to take very special care so that the tension builds gradually and that you are engaged enough with the characters for the tension to matter. This movie tries to do that and the underlying idea is certainly not bad and I guess it can be very controversial depending on if you are a homophobe or not, but the presentation falls somewhat flat in this case. The rules of this horror is not established well enough so that you can anticipate what is going on and without that anticipation you can't build the suspense needed to be scared. I wanted to like this movie but it does not land well enough and so I'm not sure if I can recommend it to anyone.
