This is about a family from Turkey who is living in Switzerland when they find out their son is gay, and being very homophobic they devise a plan. They trick the son into returning to Turkey and once there they take his passport and hold him captive and force him to take part in an arranged marriage with a woman. This leads to a lot of drama and heartbreak, but in the end it does end on a hopeful note. By the way, the son knew his parents were homophobic, he was in the closet, living with and relying on them for financial support in his mid- to late-20's and decided to march in a pride parade with his boyfriend in the middle of the town where his family lives and then seems surprised when he is outed. Maybe not the smartest thing to do if you want to stay in the closet.
