I don’t know what the hell this was, but it was not Lizzie Borden. I expected so much more, and maybe that was my fault. I have been interested in the Lizzie Borden case since I was 12 years old. It was the first true crime case that really caught my attention. I have avoided the Lifetime movies and the other movie because I knew it was not going to be an accurate representation of the case, nor were they intended to be. But what the fuck was this? This was some psychotic Victorian Carrie. I knew liberties were going to be taken, but this was just awful. It was not depiction of anything. I still cannot get over that they made Lizzie into a mousy wallflower. The acting is not the problem really. It was rotten from the script.
